Founder’s Background
  Marcelo Domínguez Molet
  • Graduate in International Trade - MBA in Industrial Companies (EOI-Spain).
  • Entered Techint Group as a young professional (1983).
  • Took part in both of Techint’s most important challenges since its foundation; privatizations and globalization.
  • Was part of the task-force Siderca sent to Mexico to take control over Tamsa. In 1993 he made his first strategic alliance with Tamsa, known today as Tenaris.
  • From the vice-presidency in the steel Tube area, he negotiated USA’s CVD and Dumping defense, and protected the internal markets of Mexico, Italy and Argentina.
  • Took part in Sidor’s due diligence in Venezuela (1998). This was Siderar’s first international acquisition in its road of expansion to what is known today as Ternium.
  • Formed part in the Vice-presidency area of Flat steel products and Energy.
  • Staff in the Presidency of the Techint Group (2000-2001).
  • From Siderar’s Planning Management, he led the programme to support those Small and Medium Companies clients and suppliers of the Techint Group, according to the increase of exports and substitution of imports of its value chain, which was later known as ProPymes.
  • Protagonist in the creation of sectorial and regional associative groups leaning towards the regeneration of the industrial network.
  • Negotiator in commercial disagreements at a National and International level.
  • From UIA (Argentina’s Industrial Union) he analyzed value chains in the Mining Industry, Auto parts, capital goods and Naval Industry.
  • President of Capinaval, Union of Naval Industry Suppliers.
  • Member of Fina’s Executive Committee, Federation of Naval Industry.
  • Vice-president of Afac, Association of Argentina’s Auto-partists.
  • Counselor and cofounder of Mercoparts, entity in charge of regulating the auto-partist activity at Mercosur level.
  • UIA’s adviser and member of the executive council.
  • Researcher in the Foundation Creer y Crecer and the Foundation Grupo Unidos del Sud (2003).
  • Vice-president of Adimra, Association of Metallurgical Industrialists (1999-2001).
  • Speaker in national and international seminars.
